STRAYANA

In a little area tucked away in the center of Iris lie the remains of the continent's ancient, once glorious past. This tiny area is known as Strayana. It was once very prosperous and greatly blessed by the gods. These blessings caused the land to bloom and grow lush and settlers could always find a beautiful spot to live. Because of Strayansa's pivotal geographic location in the middle of Iris, it grew to become the main hub. All travelers passed through this area. This high rate of travel, however, brought about many conflicts between the travelers of different races. Many of the conflicts were documented and much of the ancient literature we have now was written about them.

The exact reason for Strayana's downfall is unclear; it was never written about, only passed down through the generations by word-of-mouth. From the ancient literature written there we know that Strayana was a stable area, up until one day when out of the blue all the people there became "confused". Or so the stories go. The inhabitants of this land turned into ghosts of various types and still wander the land, lost and confused, unwilling to leave. Many people have visited Strayana and read the ancient literature looking for an explanation about what happened... looking for a sign, any sign, from the ghosts. But the past remains silent.

No one really knows how the confusion started or what Strayana actually is now. Everyone hopes it will never happen again.
